Our homework was to watch some more videos on Lynda.com. I learned about different crop options and how to use those to creative dynamic and captivating compositions. The right crop can make a big difference. I also learned some basic techniques on how to work with my layers, which included loading and selecting layers. One very important thing that I learned especially though was how to use layer masks, which comes in handy when making adjustments and editing a layer. It's always better to make a mask so that you can always go back and change things. When you begin using the eraser tool, you are setting yourself up with a lot of work in the future because if you need to change anything, you'll have to redo all the actions that you have already done, where as with a layer mask, it's just a mask you can edit the mask instead.
Our homework assignment was also to finish our photoshop project, and to set it up in InDesign on an 8.5 x 11 piece of paper, add text and print it out.
